Ingenieur Automatic 35
The Ingenieur Automatic 35 complements IWC Schaffhausen’s Ingenieur collection with a version with a case size of 35 millimetres. The modern Ingenieur revisits the bold aesthetic codes of the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, a luxury sports watch created by renowned Geneva watch designer Gérald Genta in the 1970s. This model features a stainless steel case and integrated stainless steel bracelet, a black dial, and rhodium-plated hands and appliques. Designers and engineers worked hand-in-hand to define, proportion and finish every part and characteristic of the Ingenieur faithfully to a 35-millimeter case size. To achieve the visual proportions and desired ergonomics, every element had to be re-defined. The result offers the instantly recognizable look and feel of the Ingenieur in a smaller and flatter execution with perfect ergonomics and comfort. Just as the 40-millimeter version, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 impresses with its highly detailed finishing. The watch is finished with a combination of satin-finished and polished surfaces, adding texture and reflecting the light beautifully. Secured to the case ring with five functional screws, the bezel is satin-finished with a polished outer edge. The H-links of the bracelet are also satin-finished with polished edges, while the centre links and case back are fully polished. A hallmark feature of the Ingenieur Automatic 35 is its intricately crafted dial with the characteristic «Grid» pattern, consisting of small lines and squares. The appliques are individually mounted by hand and filled with Super-LumiNova®. The open case back showcases the 47110 calibre with a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is finished with circular graining and Geneva stripes and features a gold-plated oscillating weight.
